Welcome to L.A. … a shopper’s paradise! Where to begin! So much to do and so little time!

There are so many great areas to shop, and super-cool neighborhoods to explore. In addition to the many specialty stores you will only find here, it might be good to do some eliminating at the top just to save some time. Personally, I would steer clear of the big Malls because we all have malls at home and they all have the same old/same old. Four of them that immediately come to mind are Santa Monica Place, the Beverly Center, Westside Pavilion, and The Grove. I hesitate to include The Grove, only because the Farmers Market is connected to the Grove and I do love the Farmers Market.

The Farmers Market, and the land on which it sits (256 acres to be specific), has been owned and operated by the Gilmore Family since the late 1800s as a dairy farm and an oil field, and is now in its sixth-generation. It is small, and before The Grove, was really its own entity. Everything at the Farmers Market is unique; some of the shops are even on ‘My Favorites’ List! Santa Monica Place is huge but sort of cool in a “mall-ish” kind of way, but only if you like that kind of thing. It’s located at the Pacific edge and the Pier is across the street, but as far as I am concerned, it’s still a Mall.

As I move forward with my website, I will continue to share with you my favorite places and products as well as each of the new ones I uncover in this second largest city in the country!
